Tenants are expected to keep the property reasonably clean and return it in a similar condition to when they initially moved in, considering normal wear and tear. While tenants are responsible for cleanliness, they are not responsible for repairs caused by fair wear and tear.

3. Landlord’s Responsibility:

Repairs are generally the responsibility of the landlord. However, if damage is caused by the tenant, the landlord may ask them to arrange or pay for the repairs, including damage to common areas or shared items.

4. Dealing with Repairs

The court may order the necessary repairs or maintenance, and in cases where part of the property becomes unusable due to a lack of repairs, tenants may seek a rent reduction until the issues are resolved.
